Registration for Penn Manor Rec Basketball will be held on Monday, October 5th in the High School cafeteria, Tuesday, October 6th at Manor Middle and Wednesday, October 7th at Marticville Middle. From 6-8 PM. Information forms can be picked up in the Main Office.

If you are interesting in joining Politics Club, please contact Mr. Urban or stop by room 310 for details. Politics Club is geared towards informing and educating students about political happenings in their community, state, and nation. Partnered with the Mayor of Millersville, Richard Moriarty, this club allows students to research and discuss local government action as well as various political parties and ideologies in their community. Numerous local politicians and government officials speak to the club on a regular basis. Again, Please see Mr. Urban in room 310 for more details.

Message from 1:1 Help Desk: Students, we have recently had many different issues on your laptops caused by interrupting updates. We encourage you to update your laptops frequently, but make sure that you let these updates finish and do not interrupt them by shutting down your computer to avoid issues.

Are you interested in building industry? Does architecture, construction, or engineering interest you? Well you should check out the ACE Mentor program. Students in 9th through 12th grade are invited. Applications are due by September 30th. Stop by the guidance office for information.

Attention girls lacrosse: Come out to conditioning and lifting on Tuesday and Thursday’s after school. Please change in the west gym locker rooms and meet outside the weight room by 3:00. Any questions please see Coach Forney.

Need a dress for homecoming? The annual clothing drive will be held on Saturday, October 3 at Hambright Elementary, and there will be plenty of dresses there for you to choose from. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Meckley down in room 242 for more details.

No culture captivates the world quite like the Irish. Rich in folklore tradition, full of literary treasures, and covered with breathtaking green landscapes, Ireland is one of the worlds most welcoming countries! Experience history at Blarney Castle, inspiring scenery along the Wild Atlantic Way and a creative flair in the colorful Georgian Doors of Dublin! Any students interested in traveling to Northern Ireland and Ireland please contact Mrs. McMullen in room 335. The group departs in June of 2016 and will be traveling for 10 days. We have room for a few more travelers!

Attention all girls interested in trying out for the varsity and jv girls basketball teams: Open gyms are currently running in preparation for the upcoming season. See Coach Kelly in room 384 for a schedule.

Attention seniors: If you were voted in for a senior superlative, please check your Google Drive for a shared document containing important information. Thank you!

The homecoming dance will be held at the high school on Saturday October 10 from 7:00 – 10:00. Tickets will be $8 per person or $15 per couple, and will be sold at the door. This dance is semi formal, this means no jeans. If you are bringing a guest that is not a Penn Manor student please pick up a form in the office.

Attention all students grades 9 to 12. Are you excited for the falling temperatures? Are you waiting with pins and needles for the first snow fall? Are your skis or snowboard all waxed and ready to go? Then you need to come on this year’s annual ski trip to Vermont. This year we will be carving it up at Killington and Okemo. Don’t delay!! Pick up a form from either Miss Beaver outside room 381 or from Office Hottenstein in the office.

Attention Students, All free and reduced lunch applications must be returned to the cafeteria by October 5. Students need to apply for free and reduced lunch on a yearly basis. CTC students need to apply at Penn Manor and CTC. This form can be found in the main office or in the cafeteria.

Seniors, time is running out for your parents to submit your senior ad for the yearbook! Don’t let them miss this important deadline! Remind them today!

FFA members who ordered snack sticks should report to room 340 at the end of the day to pick up their orders. If you must come after school, please make arrangements with Mr. Fellenbaum.

Attention FFA members: The next FFA meeting will be held on Monday, October 5th in room 342 at 7 PM. Fruit Sale order forms should be available at this meeting along with Farm Show trip information. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Snacks and refreshments will be available.

FFA Family Day will be held on October 11th at Washington Boro Park. FFA members and their families are invited to enjoy some games, food, and to learn more about the Penn Manor Ag Program. Barbecue Chicken and drinks will be provided, and families are asked to bring a side or dessert. In order to provide an accurate count, each person attending will be required to get free tickets. These tickets are available in room 340. Tickets will be available until October 2nd.

If you plan to take the SAT here at Penn Manor this Saturday, please remember that the sign-in will be at the Central Complex Entrance from 7:15 – 8:00 a.m. The earlier you arrive, the earlier you will be assigned to a test room and the earlier you will finish testing. No food is allowed in the testing rooms. Bring your Admission Ticket, two number two pencils, a good calculator and the required photo identification. Please note that if your cell phone rings or you are seen using it at any time, including breaks, you will be dismissed and your scores will be canceled. Do not bother bringing your lucky pen or mechanical pencil since all the SAT answers and the essay must be written with a number two pencil. Read the Registration Bulletin regarding what to bring and what not to bring.

Attention students in grades 9 to 12. There will be a mandatory meeting in room 381 during homeroom on Thursday for any student participating in this years science fair. Please see Miss Beaver in room 381 if you cannot attend.

Attention seniors: It is time for you to present your senior project. You have three options for doing this. You may present to your counselor, you may present to one of the graduate interns who are working in the counseling office, or you may present during the morning of October 14 while underclassman take the PSAT test. In order to select the manner in which you would like to present, you must visit the high school website and click on the link to complete the Googleform. There is a limit to the number of student who can present to their counselor and the graduate interns, so please sign up quickly. All seniors who need to present need to make their selection by Tuesday, October 6. If you have any questions, please see an administrator at lunch.

There is no FBLA officer meeting today. FBLA officers should NOT report to room 100 today.
