Juniors and Seniors, Harrisburg Area Community College is hosting an Open House on October 17th from 10:00 to 2:00. You will get a chance to explore all of the learning opportunities available and tour the campus. If you are interested pick up a flyer in the counseling office.

Indiana University of PA will be here next Tuesday, October 20th for Instant Admissions for seniors and a presentation for all interested students. Seniors, the deadline to apply is today. Other students, sign-up on the counseling blog this week to hear the IUP presentation during homeroom.

Attention Juniors don’t miss your opportunity to visit the Lancaster County CTC. Stop by the counseling office to pick up a field trip form ASAP. Field trip forms are due back the counseling office by 10/16. Questions see your school counselor.

Are you a sophomore interested in learning more about opportunities available to you at the Lancaster Career and Technology Center? If so don’t miss your chance to attend an information session about the LCCTC on 10/20 during homeroom. Visit the high school blog to sign up or use the link on the counseling blog under the events tab to register. You must sign up to attend this presentation. Have questions or need help see your school counselor.

Attention tenth grade students: The Gertrude Hawk candy sale is underway! The sale ends on Friday, November 6, so please have all forms in to Ms. Mercadante (room 321) or Mrs. Mayo (room 322) by that date. Delivery will take place around December 1, so orders will arrive well before the Christmas holidays. If at all possible, please write one check for your entire order made out to PM Class of 2018. Thank you so much! Remember that this money will help to lower the cost of prom tickets and allow us to consider having a senior class trip.

There are many ways to handle bullying. One easy way is to fill your time, so you don’t think about what you went though. Another way to handle being bullied is to talk to someone about the situation: a teacher, counselor, coach, leader or other adult. Don’t become stressed or suffer from depression, seek help!

Students traveling to Ireland are reminded of a brief meeting on Thursday during homeroom in room 335. You will be given fund raising papers. Thank you!
