The cheerleading boosters will be holding a sweetheart dance in the cafeteria on Saturday, February 13th from 7:30-10:30. Tickets will be $6.00. Tickets will be available for sale at all lunches on January 19th and 21st and February 2nd and 4th. Tickets will also be available at the door. Any questions regarding the dance, please see any Penn Manor Cheerleader.

Students interested in a career for beauty, the Empire Beauty School is hosting an open house on Thursday Janaury 21st at 2pm. Please stop by the Counseling office for more information.

Any senior athlete attending college and playing a sport that hasn’t been contacted by the athletic office should stop in to see Mr. Roth about information regarding Signing Day.

Gentlemen who are interested in playing volleyball this spring, make sure you get your physical done right away. Forms are in the office or the athletic office. Then come on out to open gyms every Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., in the West Gym.

Penn Manor Athlete of the Week are:

For Wrestling – Jesse Kann. Jesse is a senior and has a record of 16-0. He has won the Donegal and Penn Manor Holiday tournaments this season. He works hard everyday and leads by example during practice.

For Bowling – Nick Fisher. Nick has stepped up his game to get in the starting lineup. He works hard on his game all year long. His 2 handed style is becoming a new wave of technique in bowling and he has mastered it very well. The team is looking forward to Nick’s progress the rest of the season.

Girls swimming: Leah Williamson is Athlete of the Week.
Leah has been a leader in and out of the pool. She achieved a lifetime best time in 100 butterfly swimming against Manheim Township and she has been a supportive role model for underclassmen as one of the senior trio.

Boys swimming: Jared Stephan is Athlete of the Week
As a freshman, Jared has been a big contributor to the team. He drops his time in 500 freestyle every time he swims it!

Attention Open Campus Creative Writing students. There will be a mandatory meeting at the beginning of homeroom on Thursday in Room 312 regarding the upcoming semester. You have been signed out of homeroom on this date and passes have been given to your first block teachers. Please plan on attending.

Career internship students: be sure to report to the west gym today at the beginning of homeroom for a mandatory meeting with Mr. Basile.

Any theatre student who would like to learn more about our summer trip to the International Thespian Festival in June should plan to attend an informational meeting tonight from 5:00 – 6:00 in room 209. Pizza will be provided for those who RSVP by the end of the school day. Send an email to Mrs. Mintzer or stop by her classroom. Parents can get information this evening at the booster meeting at 6:30 in room 209. Registration opens for the Festival in a few weeks – so it is soon time to make a commitment if you plan to attend.

Yearbook Club will NOT be meeting this week. We will meet again next week on Wednesday, Jan. 27th. Thank you!
