Attention Juniors and Seniors, PACAC will be hosting a college fair on Thursday, March 10th at Millersville University. The Counseling department will be holding a field trip for students who are interested in attending and transportation will be included. Please pick up a permission form from the Counseling department if interested or visit the counseling blog.

Attention Juniors: The Skyzone fundraiser originally planned for this Friday has been changed to next Friday February 26th from 3-8. in order for this to help our class when you arrive at Skyone mention that you are with the class of 2017! Hope to see you there!

Attention talent of Penn Manor! Mark your calendars ETPM tryouts are coming up! Auditions are going to be held March 21-23rd. Keep an ear out for more information to come!

Attention students, Universities such as Syracuse, Stanford University and NYU are holding summer programs that range from for 2-6 weeks. These programs offer numerous courses ranging from Psychology, Architecture to Film and Media. This is a great opportunity for students to explore possible majors, build their resumes and experience college life. For more information, please look in the Summer Opportunities folder in the Counseling office.

There will be a brief meeting for students going to Italy on tonight, Feb. 23rd at 6:30 in room 212. Remember to bring your passport with you. Any questions see Mr. Dell’Estate.

There is still time to complete your scholarship applications for the PMEF scholarships. With just about $60,000 available to Penn Manor students you do not want to miss out on this opportunity. There will be tutorial sessions, including time for Q&A in the Guidance office during Homeroom on February 23, March 2 and March 23. If you would like to receive a pass to attend please email Mrs. Ulmer at gail.ulmer@pennmanor.net or stop by the guidance office.

Do you need a new decal for your car or electronic device? Do you want to show school spirit while also representing your sports team, club or activity? The PMHS Cheerleading squad is selling custom made decals to support their 2016-2017 season! They are for sale now until March 4th, cost only $7.00 AND come in 7 different color options! To order, you can contact any PMHS Cheerleader or Coach Ames in room 393 for details!

Attention freshmen, sophomores, and juniors The course request window is open. Please log in to your Sapphire portal page to request courses for next school year. Students must complete the request process in Sapphire by this Friday, February 26. All course selection information is available at the HS website under the “For Parents and Students” tab. Students who do not complete the process this week may have courses selected for them. If you have any questions about courses for next year – please email your counselor or see an administrator at lunch. Again – freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. The course request window is open. This week is National FFA Week! A time to show appreciation for all facets of agriculture education and the food and fiber industries of this country. You can participate this week by participating in the dress up days as follows: Blue and Gold Thursday, and Flannel Friday.

Are you interested in Forensic Science? On Saturday March 19 from 8:30 to 4:00, Cedar Crest College will hold the 14th Annual Forensic Science Symposium. This includes lunch. Admission is free to high school students and their guests. For more information please stop by the Counseling office.

If you have an interest in pursuing a healthcare career then check out the Summer Student Volunteer Program at Lancaster General Health. This is also an ideal way to satisfy the community service part of your graduation project. Students will have the opportunity to work along side an LGH clinical staff mentor. Upon completion of this 50 hour program students are eligible for a $500 scholarship to the Lancaster General College of Nursing. For more information please see your counselor.

Attention NHS members: We are still looking for members to help set up for the North Museum Science Fair. Set up is Sunday, March 13th. Contact Mrs. Myers if you are available. Also, volunteers are needed for the Elementary Readathon, Sunday, March 6th. See the NHS Blog for details pertaining to both volunteer opportunities.

A reminder to all students that have the opportunity to go on the Harley Davidson plant tour with Mrs. Wagner, please turn in your permission slips by this Thursday, February 25th. You may drop them in her library or office mailbox or in room 205. Remember we are meeting next Tuesday, March 1st at 7:40 in the office.

Junior FFA members who wish to apply for the Red Rose Degree should have applications complete by Thursday March 3rd. If you have questions, or are interested in the Red Rose Star Award, please see Mr. Fellenbaum as soon as possible.
