Attention Juniors and Seniors, PACAC will be hosting a college fair on Thursday, March 10th at Millersville University. The Counseling department will be holding a field trip for students who are interested in attending and transportation will be included. Please pick up a permission form from the Counseling department if interested or visit the counseling blog.
Students attending the HACC Experience Day are reminded to get Field Trip forms turned in to the Counseling Office today. Don’t miss this chance to learn about affordable post-secondary options!
Field trip forms for all Juniors who are planning to attend the regional college fair at MU are due to the counseling office tomorrow. Don’t miss this chance to speak with over 150 college representatives. Parents and Guardians are encouraged to attend this event as well.
There is still time to complete your scholarship applications for the PMEF scholarships. With just about $60,000 available to Penn Manor students you do not want to miss out on this opportunity. There will be tutorial sessions, including time for Q&A in the Guidance office during Homeroom on February 23, March 2 and March 23. If you would like to receive a pass to attend please email Mrs. Ulmer at gail.ulmer@pennmanor.net or stop by the guidance office.
Do you need a new decal for your car or electronic device? Do you want to show school spirit while also representing your sports team, club or activity? The PMHS Cheerleading squad is selling custom made decals to support their 2016-2017 season! They are for sale now until March 4th, cost only $7.00 AND come in 7 different color options! To order, you can contact any PMHS Cheerleader or Coach Ames in room 393 for details!
Manor FFA is encouraging all Penn Manor students to participate in “The Great American Milk Drive.” FFA Members are collecting money to donate to local food banks to pay for milk for the less fortunate. Please donate money for this cause, from February 22 through March 3, 2016. You can give your money to any FFA member with a cow print container, in the donation box in the student ag office, or during lunch on various days.
Attention FFA members: FFA Banquet tickets are available and must be acquired by next Friday, March 4. Students and family members will need tickets. Tickets are $10, unless you receive them as a fruit sale prize or you are presenting an award at the banquet. Please see an ag teacher or FFA officer for tickets. Again, they must be acquired by March 4.
Junior FFA members who wish to apply for the Red Rose Degree should have applications complete by Thursday March 3rd. If you have questions, or are interested in the Red Rose Star Award, please see Mr. Fellenbaum as soon as possible.
Internship students: be sure to turn in your signed logbook and timesheet in the west gym today at 3:00pm.
If you are a senior and you have taken Entrepreneurship, Marketing/Advertising, International Business and Investing, and/or Accounting, you qualify for a scholarship offered by the Applied Engineering, Technology and Business department. Stop by room 100 and see Mrs. Craig for an application. Applications are due back to Mrs. Craig by March 11th.
Reminder for students of First Priority: Your permission slips are due on Tuesday, March 1. You can drop them off at the box in the office or see Mrs. Rottmund in room 222.

Terry Madonna is the Director of the Center for Politics and Public Affairs at F&M and he will be speaking to the Politics Club on Wednesday, March 2 during homeroom. Come share your perspective, and hear from an expert on who may be the next President of the United States, and some local issues, like the failure to pass a state budget and what it means for you. Anyone interested in attending needs to contact Mr. Urban in room 310 for more details.

Congratulations to Jonah Barley, Jack Zimmerman, and Jesse Kann for finishing in the top 5 at districts this past weekend. Jonah placed 3rd, Jack placed 2nd, and Jesse was a district champ. This advances them to the state tournament at the Giant Center on March 10, 11, and 12.
Reminder to students that have turned in permission slips for the Harley Davidson field trip. Please check in with your first block teacher, and meet Mrs. Wagner and Miss Henry in the main office by 7:40 am on Tuesday March 1st. Attention all girls interested in volleyball: The Penn Manor girls’ volleyball team will be host an open gym for high school and middle school girls on Wednesday, March 2nd, from 7-9pm in the High School’s East Gym. Again, girls’ volleyball open gym is this Wednesday, March 2nd, from 7-9pm in the East Gym.
