The Post Prom Committee will be hosting a fundraiser at Ambush Paintball on Sunday April 17th and 24th. Cost to play is $40/person and tickets will be on sale during lunch on March 16th, 23rd & 30th and on April 6th,8th,13th & 15th or until all 200 tickets have been purchased. This event will be open to the middle schools as wells, so if you are interested buy your tickets early. We are also looking for a few teachers to join in on the fun so please stop by the ticket table over lunch to volunteer.
Attention any senior who has taken or is currently taking Honors Engineering Principles. There is a scholarship award available to a graduating senior for engineering excellence. To apply, see Mrs. Miller in room 102 for a short application. Remember all applications are due back no later than Friday, April 8.
Attention seniors: Prom tickets will be on sale from April 11 to 15. Prior to being able to purchase a ticket or have a ticket purchased for you, all financial obligations must be taken care of. This applies to any obligation that is for a lost book, unpaid lab fees, cafeteria charges, or laptop damages. Student obligations are listed in your student account in Sapphire. Please see an administrator if you have any questions.
Attention Students, Penn State will be holding an open house on Saturday, April 2nd from 9am-2pm, Students will have the opportunity to tour the campus, explore degree programs and speak with current students and faculty members. Students applying to Penn State can save $50 by visiting the open house prior to submitting their application to the University. Pre-registration is required. The Optimist Club of Lancaster is sponsoring an Oratorical Contest for students under the age of 18. It is an opportunity for students to speak their minds about the topic: “How My Best Brings Out the Best in Others.” The contest will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 7:00pm. The Optimist Club will judge the local student speeches based on content and presentation to determine the winners. The winner at the local level will receive a $500 scholarship and will advance to the District level with the opportunity to win a $2500 scholarship at the district level and a chance to move on to the Regional level. Attention Senior Cheerleaders: Applications for the Cheerleading Boosters Club scholarship can be picked up in the Athletic Office.
Calling all theatre kids – it is time for you to RSVP to attend this year’s banquet – Breakfast With the Stars! Performers, crew members and musicians from this year’s productions of Spelling Bee, Grease, and Charlotte’s Web will be recognized for their achievements with certificates, drama letters, or engraved pins. Students who have met eligibility requirements will also participate in the Thespian Society induction ceremony. Please come and enjoy this year’s all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet -cost is $11, except for seniors who attend for free – but everyone must officially RSVP very soon! Check your mailbox folder for the form, or pick up one of the extras. Forms must be returned to the Applause boosters – instructions are on the form. Don’t wait!
Attention Freshmen Class of 2019! Don’t forget about your Claire’s Gourmet fundraiser! Orders are due on Tuesday April 12. Top seller receives a $100 Visa gift card, and all you need to do is sell 10 items to receive a $25 Amazon gift card! So get out there and SELL! Remember this fundraiser will help to fund many of your class events such as prom and senior class trip.
Reminder to freshman your Claire’s Gourmet orders are due on April 12. Extra brochures are located in the main office if you did not receive one.
Attention Spring Fling Crew; Just a reminder to Spring Fling crew members, sub order forms are due on Monday, Be sure to turn them into the box in the main office.
Attention Seniors-The Penn Manor Education Foundation gives away about $60,000 in scholarships every year to Seniors planning to continue their education after High School. This Monday, April 4th is the deadline for these scholarships. Friday, April 1st someone will be stationed on the right side of the library during 3rd block including lunch to answer any questions that you may have. Please take advantage of this opportunity.
Attention Mock Trial Team: If you would like to attend the Mock Trial Luncheon on Friday, April 29, please stop by Mr. Boxleitner’s room for a permission slip. Permission slips must be turned in by April 11.
Attention Wrestlers: Open Gyms will begin next Monday April 4, and will be held every Monday and Thursday until the end of the year. They will begin at 3:00 in the wrestling room. All wrestlers, or anyone interested in wrestling next season is welcome.
