We welcome you to the Social Studies Department homepage. Our courses are designed to teach our students about the always changing world in which we live. Students taking social studies classes at Penn Manor learn the rich origins of our nation and the world, and historical events are used to make connections to the modern world in which we live. In order to prepare our students for life outside of high school we instill in them the knowledge of our democratic republic, and of the basic beliefs and events that have contributed to making the United States the richest, most powerful, and most influential nation in the modern world. The goal of the Social Studies department here at Penn Manor High School is to focus our attention on the needs of every student and prepare them for a life full of success.
