Calendar Changes Due To Snow Days

Penn Manor School District will be in session on Thursday, April 2, 2015, and Monday, April 6, 2015, as a result of the two recent snow days.

School also will be in session on Monday, March 23, 2015, as a result of an earlier weather-related schedule change.

Course Request Extension

The course request window will remain open for students until the end of school Tuesday, March 10.  Every student in grades 9-11 needs to request courses for next year using their Sapphire Community Portal/Student Backpack accounts. Students should view the high school website for all course selection information and contact their counselor with questions or problems.

As part of the desire to make continued improvements to Penn Manor School District, the following questions have been developed in order for you to provide input for school district officials.  If you have children in multiple buildings, we encourage you to complete a survey for each school.  Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey!

Millersville University College Fair – March 12th

Millersville University is hosting a large College Fair on Thursday, March 12th and the Penn Manor Counseling Department will be taking advantage of this event being so conveniently close.  Juniors who are interested in learning about how to get the most out of a college fair and who would like to research colleges, technical schools, and military programs are encouraged to pick up a permission form and return it to the HS Counseling Office by Monday, March 2nd in order to attend a morning session at the College Fair.   College visits can be time-consuming and expensive.  Please encourage Juniors to capitalize on this valuable experience.
In addition– From 5-7 pm parents, guardians, families and students are invited to attend the College Fair so mark your calendar.

Course Selection Night – Feb. 19th

Tonight is Course Selection Night at the High School for all incoming 9th graders and current high school students.  Please plan to attend to gain information about course offerings for the 2015 -16 school year.  In addition, break-out sessions will be held concerning Lancaster County CTC,  NCAA requirements, college readiness and the Keystone Exam graduation requirements.

Below is the schedule:

6:30 PM – Rising 9th graders in the Auditorium for a presentation by the high school administration

6:30 PM to 8:15 PM – Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders have the opportunity to speak with teachers from each subject area in the East Gym

7:00 PM to 8:15 PM – Rising 9th graders have the opportunity to speak with teachers from each subject area in the East Gym

 Optional sessions:

7:00 PM – Breakout session in the Library about the Lancaster County CTC

7:15 PM – Breakout session in the Library about NCAA requirements

7:30 PM – Breakout session in the Library about Keystone Exams and graduation requirements

7:45 PM – Breakout session in the Library about College readiness
