College Prep or Honors English students: there is a summer reading requirement for your class next year, and it may have changed from previous years. For example, those freshmen who are taking Honors American Literature in tenth grade will be reading The Scarlet Letter as their summer reading for next year, not The Great Gatsby as in years past. Be sure to go to the library homepage to check what your assigned book is so that you are prepared when you return next school year. Thank you.

Attention NHS Members:The school furniture donation for children in Honduras through C.A.R.E was so successful for Hambright and Pequea, that the District is going to do this again for Conestoga! Help is needed June 16th and 18th. Check the NHS Blog for details if you are interested in this volunteer opportunity.

Any student planning on taking the ACT here at Penn Manor this Saturday should report to the Central Complex. Please make sure to bring along your ticket as well as valid photo id. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Ulmer in the Counseling office.

We need crew members behind the scenes as well as performers onstage. PM Theatre is hosting a “boot camp” session from August 1-5th so that you can learn more about the opportunities our theatre program can provide. Stop by the main office or room 209 to pick up an informational flier. Next year, the fall play will be “Twelve Angry Jurors” a courtroom-based drama about a jury deliberating over a man’s guilt or innocence. If you like watching Law & Order or have an interest in the law, this one is for you! For the spring musical, we will present the Disney classic “The Little Mermaid”. We’ll need lots of creativity for costumes, puppets and scenery for this musical “under the sea” and will begin planning this summer. The week in August is for you to check us out and see what areas are best suited for you. It is completely free – please grab a flier today and make plans to join us any day that your calendar is open!
