Please come out to Isaac’s on Centerville Road on February 11 any time between 5-9pm for Tri-M date night! You don’t have to bring a date, bring anyone! Family, friends, neighbors, all are welcome to support your Penn Manor Tri-M Chapter. All proceeds will be given to the Music For Everyone. Please come out and show off your comet pride!

There will be a spring track meeting on Wednesday February 10th at 6 p.m. in the High School Cafeteria for athletes and parents. Come out and meet the coaching staff and learn about spring track and field. Please see coach Myers in room 309 if you have any questions.

Don’t break the hearts or the bank with FCCLA’s annual chocolate covered strawberry and pretzel sale. Look for the strawberries in each stairwell to pick up order forms. All forms are due, along with money, by Tuesday, February 9th to Mrs. Sheerer room 234 or to office. Delivery will be on Friday, February 12th- 2nd block. If you have any questions contact Mrs. Sheerer.

Looking for a Part-Time job? Stop in the Counseling Office to check out the job board. We are getting updates daily and this could be just the lead you are looking for!

The class of 2019 is selling baked goods during all lunches February 8th through the 12th. Rice krispy treats, brownies, and cookies will be sold 2 for $1.

Students interested in studying ecology or entrepreneurship, Susquehanna University will be holding programs over the summer where you will be able to live on campus for a week and gain hands on experience in the field. For more information, please visit the counseling blog.

Any boy interested in trying out for Tennis this spring should stop down in the Athletic Director’s office and give Mr. Roth or Mrs. Bachman your information to get to Coach Hammond.

Need something to do after school this Wednesday, Feb. 10? Come to room 322 and watch a classic movie after school from 3:00-5:00. Students and teachers are welcome. This week we are watching the classic movie “Casablanca” starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. See Mrs. Mayo or sophomore Audry Bublitz for details.

Any girl interested in a career in the environment, engineering, robotics, green instructor, there will be a Girls STEM tour field trip on Thursday, February 25th. Permissions slips are due by Wednesday February 17th. Please ask your math or science teacher for the flyer and permissions slip, or stop by Guidance. This is a great opportunity to tour area industries related to STEM careers.

Students interested in wildlife, fisheries and habitat conservation– the Wildlife Leadership academy is now seeking applicants to become certified ambassadors where they can receive college credit along with the opportunity for scholarships. German students who are interested in participating in the next exchange with Germany should attend an informational meeting on 2/2/16 at 6 pm in room 201. The next Manor FFA meeting will be held tonight in room 342 at 7:00-8:30 PM. All students with agriculture classes this school year are welcome to come and give valuable input into your organization. At this meeting, you will get to meet with the FFA Alumni organization. We hope to see many of you there!

Please return complete applications to the office no later than Friday, February 12.. At all lunches Wednesday February 3 and Thursday February 4, there will be a table set up for students interested in signing up to be on spring fling crew. Grab and application and fill it out and turn it back in by the time lunch is over!

Attention Scrubs Club Members: If you missed our Jan meeting and intend to go on the field trip, please pick up the necessary additional permission forms in the nurse’s office. These forms are due Thursday Feb 4.

All JETS Participants The 2016 team has been selected. Please report to room 410 during homeroom on Thursday February 4th to learn how you did and receive your field trip form. Congratulations to all that tried!!

Attention NHS members: Due to the senior class meeting scheduled for Tuesday’s homeroom, we will be unable to have our monthly meeting. Please check the NHS blog for a summary of meeting agenda items that will be posted Wednesday. Remember to also verify the updated list of completed volunteer hours. Senior hours must be completed by April 15th.

Internship students: be sure to meet with Mr. Basile by Wednesday block 3 in the west gym office. You will need a signed contact.

Attention juniors and seniors with parking passes, – it is time to renew parking passes for the second semester. The cost to renew parking passes is $20. This can be paid in the main office starting February 1st. The deadline for collecting parking renewal fees is Monday, February 8th. Students who are unable to pay the entire amount at once, please speak with an administrator at lunch. Seniors who were advanced or proficient on all three Keystone Exams will have their parking fee waived for the second semester. If students do not renew their parking pass or contact an administrator by February 8th, passes may be revoked that week and given to students on the parking pass wait list.

The next Manor FFA meeting will be held on Monday, February 1 in room 342 at 7:00-8:30 PM. All students with agriculture classes this school year are welcome to come and give valuable input into your organization. At this meeting, you will get to meet with the FFA Alumni organization. We hope to see many of you there!

Ready to dance the night away? This Saturday is the annual Winter Formal. The scene is the Roaring Twenties, the dress is semi-formal so no jeans, the cost is $5 a person, and the plan is to have fun! We will have music, lights, photos, and balloons! Drinks and pearls will be for sale. The dance runs from 7-10pm. Don’t miss it!
