  • Yearbook club is cancelled for today. Please see Ms. Dowd sometime this week or next week if you will be able to assist with distribution. Thanks!
  • Recently the Young Humanitarians raised awareness for several diseases and offered to draw the name of one PM student who participated in these activities. Sarah Baker you are the winner! Please see Miss Brady in Room 207 to claim your Tropical Smoothie gift card and snack! Thanks to Sarah and to all who participated in YHL disease awareness week.
  • Does your phone die quickly? Charge it up and grab a snack at the FCCLA stand during Spring Fling.
  • TSA Members: Officer Elections for next year’s President, Treasurer, and Secretary will be taking place at Thursday’s meeting. Please make sure you are in attendance to vote. We will also be discussing important information about the spring field trip.
  • All Fall, Winter and Spring Athletes should report to the Central Complex Lobby sometime during club period today to see Mr. Roth or Mrs. Bachman for some important information. It will only take 1 minute.

Questions or if you need a time slot to present see your school counselor.
  • Attention sophomores and juniors planning to attend the Lancaster County Career and Technology for the 15-16 school year. The Lancaster County CTC will be holding new student orientation on Thursday, May 7th at all four campuses. Orientation will start promptly at 5:00pm for the health care cluster. Orientation for all other programs will start at 6:00pm. Questions stop by the counseling office.
  • Freshmen: Please remember that our Issac’s Fundraiser is THIS THURSDAY, May 7, from 5-9 PM at the Centerville Road Issac’s. Any food or drink purchase, eat in or take out, will yield a 25% profit for your class, which will go toward prom and the class trip. Please tell your parents to take a night off from cooking on Thursday and head to Issac’s for a delicious sandwich while helping out your class at the same time! Remember to bring the flyer given to you in homeroom in order to give credit to the Class of 2018. If you lost your flyer, stop by room 321 or 322 to pick up another one before Thursday evening. Thanks!
  • Attention Seniors: Congratulations to the Post Prom Drawing winners! Courtney Leaman and Morgan Martzall each won a free ticket to the Post Prom. Jordan Sproul is the winner of a free ticket to the Prom. Thank you to all seniors who participated in Mrs. Kirk’s raffle. Seniors, please thank all your parents who are working hard to make the Post Prom one of your favorite Penn Manor memories. Winners: Please see Mrs. Reiner in the main office to collect your prize.
  • Attention Spring Fling Crew Members: Check the list posted outside of the main office to make sure you are signed up to work a shift at spring Fling this Friday. Anyone who has not signed up please stop by the office or see Nick Kirk or Hannah Willig as soon as possible. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for your shift and check in at the blue tent to receive your t-shirt.
  • Attention Seniors: Post prom will take place at the High School following the prom on Friday, May 15th. Please remember that you do not need to attend the prom in order to come to post prom, but you will need a ticket. Post prom tickets will be on sale in the cafeteria at all lunches starting May 4th and continuing through May 12th. The cost of the ticket is $10 per person. Tickets will also be on sale before and after school in the main office for CTC seniors. See Mrs. Reiner. Doors will open at the East Gym at 11 pm. It is not too late to hand in your Memory Lane poster. Come strike it rich in the casino. Challenge your classmates to some friendly competition. Or simply enjoy hanging out with friends until the wee hours of the morning. Lots of fun… great food and prizes… wear your best Beach Party attire. See you there!
  • The Hambright Senior Reception is on Tuesday, May 12th at 3:45 until 4:30. Any graduating senior is welcome to stop in at the new Hambright to say hello to your friends and former teachers. We would love to see everyone and hear about your future plans. There will be food. Stop on by!!
  • Come out to Comet Field on Friday May 8th for the Penn Manor Spring Fling! Spring Fling will run from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. and will include amusement rides, games, inflatable moon bounces and obstacle courses, food and much more. All proceeds from this carnival directly benefit Penn Manor student organizations. The night will end with a dazzling fireworks show that can’t be missed! Parking is free, but by donation to benefit the Penn Manor Family Fund. Hope to see you all there!
  • The Senior Sports Awards Social is Monday May 11th at 6:30 pm in the High School Cafeteria. All Senior Athletes and their families are invited to attend to celebrate a year in sports at Penn Manor. If you did not get an invite stop in the Athletic Director’s office to pick up a letter and information.
  • Attention SENIORS! Be a STAR at graduation! Participate in Celebrate PM Seniors–a Grey Zone production to celebrate the after graduation plans of EVERY graduating senior! We want YOU to be a part of it! Pick up your Orange Flyer in homeroom this week or pick up a flyer in room 207 or the Main Office. All you do is email us a picture of yourself and submit your after-graduation plans! It is FREE to participate and only $5 if you want a copy of the entire production!! Don’t miss out on this chance to be part of a great 2015 memento!
  • Do you love animals? Help the Young Humanitarian League support the ASPCA and the Humane League! From April 27 through May 8, you can donate dog or cat food, toys, towels and blankets, or money. There will be drop off boxes for these items in the library, the main office, and outside 207. If you are donating money, please put it in the jar in the main office or in 207. Thanks!

  • Brittany Hook is the Softball Athlete of the Week. Brittany has been leading the Softball Team this week and season with her outstanding pitching. To date this year she has pitched 86 innings, striking out 169, an Earned Run Average of .73, and the opposing teams batting average is .145. Theo McElheny is the Boys Track Athlete of the Week. Theo competes in the 100, 4×100 realy and the 400. He has done everything the coaches have asked of him, does it with a positive attitude, and gives 100%. Sarah Stackhouse is the Girls Track Athlete of the Week. Sarah competes in the 300 hurdles, 4 x 100 realy and long jump and has the most positive and upbeat attitude. Griffin Sangrey is our Volleyball Athlete of the Week. Griffin is quite possibly the most explosive player Penn Manor has ever seen–on defense and offense. Already one of the best defenders in Penn Manor history, he’s now added to his repertoire outside hitting. Opponents are keeping a close eye on him. He’s destroying front-row attacks, back-row attacks, and jump serves, and he’s plowing the way for us to a strong playoff run.
  • Girls fall tennis sign ups will meet this Wednesday April 29th at 3:00 pm in the cafeteria.
  • Attention Seniors – in just a few short weeks, we will have our class trip to Dorney Park on May 29th… if you want to go, you MUST reserve a space and order your ticket by this Friday, May 1st. Cost is $40 per person which covers your admission ticket and the bus transportation. Friday, May 29th is your last day of classes – wouldn’t you rather spend it riding rollercoasters or enjoying the water rides & wave pool? Visit our class blog to download an order form. See Mrs. Mintzer or Mrs. Sheerer with any questions.
  • The next FFA meeting will be held on Monday May 7th at 7 PM in room 342. Information about state convention will be available at the meeting. Members who plan to attend the State FFA convention should attend. A Pork Quality Assurance meeting will be held at 3 PM on Monday, May 4 in room 342. All students planning to exhibit swine at the fairs or farm show MUST attend this meeting.
  • Attention FFA Members–Greenhand Degree and Chapter degree applications for the spring semester are due on Thursday, April 30. The degrees will be conferred at the FFA meeting on May 4th. Members who are receiving the degrees should wear official dress.
  • Attention Seniors: This announcement is for any student planning to enroll in a degree program, college or university for next school year. The deadline to file for the Pennsylvania State Grant is this Friday, May 1st. If you would like to be considered for money from the state it is important that you complete the appropriate application. If you have any questions please see your Counselor.

  • Attention TSA Members: The TSA meeting scheduled for today has been cancelled. The TSA Club will meet again on Thursday, April 30.

  • Internship students be sure to turn in your signed logbook and time sheet this week in the west gym office.

  • There will be a meeting next tomorrow at 7:30 am in the Central Complex lobby for any boy interested in trying out for basketball next year and would like to be involved in off season activities. Coach Bellew will be in the Central Complex lobby to sign up interested players and hand out paperwork.

  • Attention Spanish Club members: If you are interested buying a Spanish club shirt, please see Mrs Rodriguez ASAP to place your order. Orders and payment are due by May 1st.

  • Attention all performers: are you looking for a venue to show off your talents? If so, sign up for free stage time at the annual Penn Manor Spring. Sign ups are posted on the bulletin board outside of the auditorium and in the main office. Any questions see Steph Smith, Hannah Willig or Nick Kirk.

  • The Penn Manor Marching Unit is holding a color guard open house and recruitment night on Tuesday, April 28 from 5-7 pm in the High School band room for all returning and new members. If you ever considered joining the guard, come out to find out more about the program, meet the staff, and try spinning a flag. Our 2015 show will feature many colorful elements that the color guard will bring to the program. We hope to see you there! See Mr. Johnson if you have any questions.

  • Are you interested in cheering your Penn Manor sports teams onto victory? The PMHS parent/cheerleader information meeting is on April 27th from 6-7:30pm in the high school cafeteria. Open gyms are April 29th, May 5th and May 7th from 6-8pm. Tryouts are May 12th-14th.
