Financial Aid Events and Thaddeus Stevens Early Enrollment

  • Tuesday, October 4th. 6:00pm Financial Aid Night (5:15pm Early Enrollment Interest Meeting).
    • Did you know your child may be eligible to attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and count it as their senior year in high school?  Learn more on Tuesday, October 4th at 5:15pm in the Large Group Instruction Room above the cafeteria. This information Session is open to all high school families.  11th-grade families interested in Thaddeus Stevens Early Enrollment should stay for Finacial Aid night at 6pm and attend FAFSA Completion night later in the month.
    • Financial Aid Night at 6:00PM October 4th Penn Manor High School Large Group Instruction Rooms above the Cafeteria. 11th and 12th-grade students and families.  You can’t afford to miss this night…literally.  Plan to attend to learn how to pay for higher education and apply for scholarships.
  • Tuesday, October 25th FAFSA Completion Lab for all 12th-grade families (and 11th-grade families who children are applying to Thaddeus Stevens Early Enrollment). Sign-up required. email marjean.long@pennmanor.net to sign up. The student and parent/guardian should be present to receive the best help from a PHEAA representative with completing the FAFSA.

College and Career Application Help

  • College & Career  Help.  School Counselors and Gifted Casemanagers will be at After School Intervention (ASI) on Tuesdays from now until November 8th to help with College Applications, Study Skills, and Organization Help. They can also help with signing up for the SATs, college applications, college searches, organization, executive functining, study skills, and more. Please sign up at tinyurl.com/PMAfterSchool for 11th or 12th graders to sign up. If this is successful and helpful, it will be extended beyond November 8th. 

Revised Morning Drop-off Procedures

Penn Manor High School will revise the morning drop-off procedures in an effort to reduce the traffic backlog entering and exiting the campus during the morning commute.  Starting on Monday, September 12, vehicles will be able to enter the campus from the East Cottage Avenue and Model Avenue entrances. Students can be dropped off outside of the attendance office by the parking deck or at the loop outside of the District Office.  Vehicles traveling around the building on Campus Drive will need to exit the campus on the Herr Avenue exit.  Campus Drive will be a one way road in the morning to eliminate traffic backlog.  Please see the attached map for more information. On Monday, August 29 (the first day of school) students will report directly to their Friday Flex assignment during their Flex block for additional orientation activities.

All students should report directly to their Friday Flex assignment by 7:40 a.m.   We will operate with an adjusted schedule on the first day of school.

New Student Orientation!!

New Student Orientation
Thursday, August 25th from 6:30 – 8:00 P.M.

We are excited to welcome all incoming freshmen and any other students that are new to Penn Manor High School this year.  We encourage all new students and their parents/guardians to attend our orientation.  Please enter through the doors near the parking deck.  

Orientation Schedule:
6:00 – Doors Open
6:30 – Introductions and key topics in the auditorium
7:00 – 8:00 – Students walk their schedules

If you are unable to attend Thursday evening, the building will be open from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM on Friday, August 26.  There will be tours of the building that will start each hour( 8:00, 9:00, 10:00…meet at the athletic office), but students are also free to walk their schedule on their own.

CTC Transportation Announcement!

Penn Manor School District’s first student day will be on Monday, August 29.  All full day and half day CTC programs will have their first student day on Thursday, August 25.  Although not required, all Penn Manor CTC students are highly encouraged to attend CTC on Thursday, August 25 and Friday, August 26.

Information for Thursday 8/25 and Friday 8/26

Transportation will be provided from Penn Manor High School to each CTC campus on these two days.  Full day CTC students are permitted to drive or ride the bus to their CTC campus.  Buses for full day students will depart from Penn Manor’s bus lane at 7:30 a.m. and return around 2:45 p.m.   Full day students can drive to Penn Manor and park in the Office Parking Lot or get dropped off at the high school office prior to 7:30 a.m.   

A bus will be available to transport half day CTC students to the Willow Street campus.  Half day CTC students are not permitted to drive to CTC.  This bus will depart from Penn Manor’s bus lane at approximately 10:30 a.m. and return to Penn Manor around 2:45 p.m.  Half Day CTC students can drive to Penn Manor and park in the Office Parking Lot or get dropped off at the high school office prior to 10:30 a.m. 

The buses that will be used to transport students to each specific campus will be provided at a later date. 

During the school year:

Full day CTC students can ride one of the following buses to their CTC campus.  These buses will be parked in spots 1-4 in the bus lane and will leave promptly at 7:30 a.m. 

Bus 175 will travel to Mt Joy & Brownstown.  There will be bus exchange at Burle Industries

Bus 224 will travel to Mt Joy & Brownstown.  There will be bus exchange at Burle Industries

Bus 249 will travel to the Willow Street Campus

Bus 49 to travel to the Willow Street Campus 

Half day CTC students will be dismissed to board the CTC bus to Willow Street at the following times:

Mondays:  11:16 a.m. after Block 1 Flex.

Tuesdays:  11:16 a.m. after Block 2 Flex

Wednesdays:  10:28 a.m. after Block 2

Thursdays:  10:28 a.m. after Block 2

Fridays: 11:16 a.m. after Friday Flex

Half day CTC will be able to ride bus 175 or 209.  These buses will depart from outside of the cafeteria entrance.  

Half day CTC students will not attend CTC on any early dismissal days or on days when CTC is not in session.  Since half day CTC students do not have a block 3 or block 4 class, they are permitted to leave school property at the conclusion of block 2/flex on any of these days with parent/guardian permission.  Parents or guardians must complete the Google Permission Form.  This permission form can be found here.  We have our first early dismissal schedule on Thursday, September 1st.
